Posted: 06/10/19

With our spring trophy presentations drenched in champagne and all finished, here’s a roundup of all of our mens sides that took home their division championships this summer! Thanks to all of the players that were involved in one of our most fun spring title races in recent memory! We can’t wait to see what summer holds for our teams.

D1 Champions – CLS United

With Ballistic FC breaking up their historic title streak in the fall, CLS were in inspired form as they made their way to another D1 final. Praire Dogs of Brooklyn were worthy opponents and took Jeff Alexander’s team to penalties. CLS prevailed, capturing their historic ninth cup. Congratulations, guys!

D2 Champions – Bapanim

Orchard FC had a late goal to deny Bapanim promotion in last years D2 final, but the boys in neon green stormed back for another final, this time facing Joseph “Blue” Pulaski FC in another promotion battle. After a testy 45, Bapanim notched a few late goals and gained their long-awaited promotion! Congratulations to Tomer and his team!

Late Night 7s Champions – Hudson FC

136 goals later, the late night 7s division was decided on a penalty shootout! Hudson FC, who went back and forth with Wash Ups FC all season, captured the title at Pier 40 at the end of one of our most exciting title races in 7s yet! Congratulations guys!

Sunday 5v5 Champions – 50 Shades of O’Shea

Only three goals separated 50 Shades of O’Shea and legendary Gotham Wednesday in the fight for first seed in this past Sunday’s playoffs at Upper 90 Astoria. However, 33 goals in the semi-finals and finals propelled one of our best named clubs to the trophy. Congrats, fellas!
